Navy JAG attorney sentenced for child porn
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX
Mark Tilford, who at the time of his indictment was an active
duty Navy JAG lieutenant commander, pleaded guilty in March.
In July 2010, a Corpus Christi police detective working
undercover downloaded multiple files of child pornography traced to
a computer at Tilford's residence. Eventually, 266 images and 98
videos of suspected child pornography were found on two computers.
Senior U.S. District Judge Janis Graham Jack sentenced Tilford
to a lifetime term of supervised release and ordered him to
register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
