Witnesses help deputies catch burglary suspects

FULSHEAR, TX Fort Bend County Sheriff's deputies say someone was breaking into a vehicle in the 32400 block of Oxbox in Fulshear at about 5am Wednesday. Deputies responded to reports of three suspicious men seen removing property from a vehicle and placing the stolen property in a white Ford truck.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description reported by witnesses and they say in plain view they spotted several golf bags, golf clubs, a chain saw and other items. Further investigation revealed the three suspects were in possession of property from numerous vehicles including electronics and two handguns.

The three suspects are identified as Michael C. Minton, 20, of Brookshire; John J. Crowe, 21, of Simonton; and Caleb E. Gouger, 21, of Brookshire. All three are charged with burglary of a habitation, with bond set at $20,000. Minton faces an additional charge of fraudulent possession of identification information, and Gouger is also charged with possession of marijuana.

Deputies say all three suspects have confessed to burglarizing numerous vehicles and a couple of residences in the Weston Lakes Subdivision. Detectives continue to investigate this incident.
