Slain good Samaritan being honored for courage

A man who died while trying to help a woman during a purse snatching is being honored for his courage and selflessness. Sam Irick was shot and killed in November of last year after trying to help a woman as a gunman tried to steal her purse. Irick has now been selected as a finalist for the 'Citizen Service Before Self' honors. The finalists and winners are chosen by the recipients of the Medal of Honor.

They'll make their final decision two weeks from today.

Anthony Ferrell, 39, is charged with capital murder in Irick's death.
