The Harris County Sheriff's Department says they were alerted by the 12-year-old girl's father that she is recanting her originial story. It's unknown why the girl's story is changing.
A statement from the Harris County Sheriff's Department added, "Our investigators take all allegations very seriously, especially when it involves a crime against a child."
Authorities are continuing to investigate.
