Police: Flashlight explodes in cop's face

HOUSTON Late last night, police received calls that drug users were going in and out of an apartment where a man was killed yesterday. Two officers went inside, but as they were investigating, one of the officer's flashlights suddenly blew up in his face.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he is listed as stable. HPD believes the battery may be to blame and is now looking to see if any other flashlights have a problem.
