Child ID kits handed out by Bellaire police

BELLAIRE, TX Officers collected photographs, fingerprints and other identifying information for parents to have ready in the event their child goes missing. It is important to take a new picture every year since children change so quickly.

Police say while it's difficult for parents to imagine a tragedy ever happening to them, the kits are extremely helpful during search efforts.
