Authorities say Lara was the getaway driver in the murder of retired teacher Martha Fields back in December 2007. Prosecutors say two other men, Kevin Cypher and Marwa Saeed, acted as delivery men to force their way into Fields' home, where they tied her up, robbed the home and stabbed her multiple times. She later died at a hospital.

Lara's sentencing is scheduled for June. Cypher is in custody. Saeed is still on the run.
