The officer was heading north on Louisiana at Capitol around 2am with a prisoner in the back seat and that's when the patrol unit crashed into a vehicle. Investigators aren't sure who ran the red light.
The prisoner in the backseat of the officer's car was taken to the hospital. No one else was hurt.
