A four-alarm fire in far southwest Harris County forced many families out of their homes.[SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

It happened late last night at a warehouse on Highway 6 near Beechnut. Firefighters believe chemical and butane tanks fueled the flames, forcing emergency crews to issue a shelter in place. Power to many homes and businesses was also disconnected for safety reasons. Parts of Highway 6 were also blocked off.

HazMat tested the air and said it was safe. So far, there are no reports of any injuries.

The warehouse burned down but no one was injured. Arson is investigating.
