Mr. Clean actor dies at 92

LOS ANGELES, CA The son of actor House Peters Jr. says his dad died of pneumonia at the Motion Picture and Television Fund Hospital in Los Angeles. He was 92.

Peters was the muscular guy with the bald head and hoop earring that starred in Proctor & Gamble's TV commercials for household cleaners in the late 1950s and into the early 1960s. He was known for his no-nonsense attitude toward dirt and grime and helped make the household cleaner famous with the trademark jingle, "Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean."

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, another son and four grandchildren.
