Two men were shot in the attack at the check cashing business on Maxey and Fleming. Police say as soon as the men got into their car with money, a man shot and robbed them. One of the victims died.
The shooter was last seen fleeing in a blue car. He did have a getaway driver.
Around the same time, a 28-year-old woman was found shot to death inside her apartment in northwest Houston
After Takiesha Askari didn't show up for work yesterday, a family member went to her home at the Arbor Oaks apartments on West Little York and found her shot in the head. Investigators don't know how long Askari had been dead. They aren't saying who may have killed her.
