Make it 14-0 for UH softball

The University of Houston softball team moved to 14-0 Sunday after defeating Texas State 4-0 to conclude play at the Houston Marriott Classic. The Cougars swept their second-straight tournament and outscored their opponents 28-4 in five games.

Houston is now 8-4 in the all-time series against the Bobcats.

Senior Angel Shamblin stays perfect on the mound moving to 7-0 this season. In seven innings of work, she allowed just one hit, no runs and struck out five batters.

Up next, the Cougars will take to the road for the first time this season when they travel to College Station for a double-header against No. 3 Texas A&M. First pitch is slated for 4pm. Houston will then have the weekend off before hosting the second annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game against Texas on March 5 at 5pm.
