"Martin reached in and unlocked my doors," she told us. "And Faulk had the gun in my face telling me to move over."
Loosier survived the attack and the escapees were caught. But her truck was riddled with bullet holes. After paying a $500 insurance deductible, she finally got her truck back from the body shop two weeks ago. Two days ago, the truck was stolen.
"I think I am just numb right now because it is just one thing after another," said Loosier. "Of course, we don't have the money to keep paying for this stuff over and over again."
Her husband, a reserve deputy constable, had been using the truck when it was stolen in Houston. His gun and badge were taken as were other personal items. The cost of both crimes is quickly adding up.
"The hospital bill, and then all my counseling and my medication and stuff," said Loosier. "So we really did not need this on top of it at Christmas."
And to make matters worse, the thieves made off with Christmas gifts. It's news Loosier says was painful to break to her boys.
"They know their Christmas presents are gone that were from their grandmother," she said. "She can't buy them again. She is a widow. She has been buying presents since summer."
She's hoping the new year will bring her family at the very least better luck.
Loosier is also a piano technician. The stolen truck has her company's name on it -- Madilene's Piano Tuning and Repair.
Corrections officer Susan Canfield was killed when the two suspects tried to escape. They hit Canfield with a truck while she was on horseback. And as we reported last week, a state report on the escape found a supervisor allowed the two inmates to get too close, which essentially created an opportunity for them to overpower the guard. That supervisor has since been re-assigned.
