The late Alan Rickman's iconic voice can be heard in the new trailer for Alice Through the Looking Glass.

The voice of the Blue Caterpillar was the last role for Rickman, who passed away in January.

In the trailer, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) is diagnosed with a "textbook case of female hysteria" before running away. She then encounters her old acquaintance, the Blue Caterpillar, now a butterfly.

"You've been gone too long, Alice," he says. "Friends cannot be neglected. Hurry."

She follows him into Wonderland, where she learns that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is in danger, and to save him she must race against Time (who is a character, played by Sacha Baron Cohen).

The Disney sequel also features other returning characters from the 2010 Alice in Wonderland film, such as the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) and the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry).

The trailer, which is scored by Pink's rendition of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit," is filled with "candy-colored visual flourishes," Disney Insider's Drew Taylor writes. He pointed out a visual Easter egg: Around 1:57, you can spot the Cheshire Cat projected against the waves of the hurricane.

"There are a number of arresting moments from the trailer," Taylor writes. "It's going to be wild."

Alice Through the Looking Glass hits theaters May 27.
