Three vehicle accident kills one driver, injures two others

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- One person was killed and two others rushed to the hospital following a three vehicle collision on Atascocita Road at Ygnacio Road in Humble.

Harris County sheriff deputies were called to the scene around 7:54pm last night.

Deputies say a 20-year-old male was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck eastbound on Atascocita and failed to control his speed. He then struck the rear end of a 2004 Honda Accord driven by a 24-year-old female. The Honda Accord then struck a 2009 Ford Escape driven by a 20-year-old female.

The driver of the Honda died at the scene. Emergency crews took the driver of the Dodge and Ford to area hospitals with non life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
