Most parents spend months or even longer discussing the name of their baby, often making a choice that holds special meaning or family history.
As trends come and go, some names are more popular than others. Emma and Liam were the most frequently chosen baby names for 2017, beating out such recent favorites as Sophia and Jacob.
Some names, however, are much more unique. Of all the babies named in the U.S. in 2017, those listed above were given to only five infants each, according to the Social Security Administration.
