Man charged with capital murder after 3 bodies found in NW Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- At the Todd Street location where the remains of three bodies have been found, police spent Wednesday afternoon going back over the scene with cadaver dogs to search for any more victims. Investigators believe Jamie Walter brought the bodies to the abandoned warehouse on the northwest side and stuffed them in 55 gallon drums, then burned them, after the victims were killed somewhere else.

Walter, 27, is no stranger to law enforcement. Mugshots show his progression of crimes and age. He's been charged with everything from forgery to drug charges and aggravated assault.

Jamie Walter, 27, faces capital murder charges in the deaths of at least three individuals found in a vacant property.

One of the closest businesses is a salon where Amnah Hammad says she saw the suspect and a woman just last week.

"I had a weird feeling when I saw this couple with a dog in the car," Hammad recalled. "I saw them two times before walking and I could tell they were homeless or something and when I saw them in the car I was like, these people have a car?"

On Wednesday she learned the same man is now charged with capital murder. Hammad says she can't believe she looked him right in the eyes. "I'm kind of scared that I saw them actually and this guy killed somebody. It's a scary feeling," she said.

Police have identified two of the three victims who died of blunt force trauma as Monty Kaiser and Donald Fleming.

Investigators are still putting a timeline together but at least one of the victims was killed in April.

Walter has been charged with capital murder.
