GALVESTON, TX -- More than 200 'plungers' were freezin' for a reason at the 2014 Polar Plunge in Galveston, Texas, on Saturday, January 18. The chilly event invites individuals, groups and organizations to support Special Olympics Texas athletes by plunging into the water from Galveston's Stewart Beach. This year's event raised nearly $30,000 for the charity. Most commonly heard by those who dared brave the water -- "I can't feel my legs!" But judging from the smiles on their faces, it was worth the chill.
