Car underneath 18-wheeler blocked lanes of Highway 225

DEER PARK, Texas (KTRK) -- A collision of some sort involving a car and an 18-wheeler caused early traffic delays in the Deer Park area on Friday morning.

Several westbound lanes of Highway 225 near East Boulevard were blocked while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

A heavy-duty wrecker was brought in to help remove the car from underneath the big rig.

The wreck cleared and the lanes reopened shortly after 7 a.m.
