There is no known motive in the shooting, according to HPD.

Millville Drive

Police are investigating after two men were shot by alleged carjackers on Millville Drive near De Priest.

HPD says the men were standing next to a rental car in the Acres Homes area around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

That's when police say several suspects pulled up in an SUV and demanded the car.

Shots were fired, but the suspects took off without the vehicle.

The two men were shot and transported to the hospital. According to Lt. Christopher Bruce, one of the victims is in stable condition and the other is in critical condition.

Investigators are looking for surveillance video in the area.

Antoine Drive

Just 10 minutes after the shooting on Millville Drive, Harris County sheriff's deputies say a man was shot and killed by accident.

Deputies responded to a reported shooting at Micheladas La Barra located in the 10100 block of Antoine Drive in northwest Harris County around 10:40 p.m. Sunday.

Video from inside the bar appears to show an argument break out between two groups of people, according to HCSO deputies.

The suspect pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and began beating one of the customers with the gun when it discharged and struck his relative, deputies say.

Luis Rivera, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s, fled the scene in a 2009 silver Chevrolet Malibu, Texas License #JLX-3508, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Investigators believe the suspect is possibly headed to Laredo.
