Authorities say kids were playing outside the trailer park in the 1700 block of Isom when the boy shot himself with the BB gun.
Family members identify the child as seven-year-old Adrian Marron.
"My grandson losing his eye and the responsibility of who's going to be held accountable for leaving that BB gun outside," the boy's grandmother, Marcella Esparza, said.
Authorities say the gun was registered and returned to its rightful owner.
Investigators do not expect to file any charges.
The boy is expected to recover.
