Myron Nelson, 30, is charged with official oppression. According to investigators, the incident took place in February of 2013. An investigation was launched by the Harris County Sheriff's Office of Inspector General, which resulted in Nelson being fired in September.
Nelson was then indicted on the misdemeanor charge last week.
