Houston firefighters discovered a body in a burning home overnight. It is the second deadly fire in Houston in the past few days.

The fire started just before midnight at a home on Caplin in north Houston.

When firefighters arrived they found flames pouring from the one-story home. Neighbors told firefighters there might be two people inside the home.

"We heard some crackling going on and my wife got up and looked out the window and saw the house was on fire right next door," neighbor Carlos Rodriguez said.

Firefighters put out some of the flames and searched the home. They only found one person inside; he was already dead.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters believe it started in the living room.
