Search crews were back out Sunday looking for clues in the disappearance of a missing mom in northwest Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies along with Texas EquuSearch volunteers were combing the area around Cypress Creek again after another exhaustive search on Saturday.

Melissa Sowders, 26, was last seen around 11am Thursday near FM 1960 and the North Freeway. According to officials, she was at a McDonald's to meet her estranged husband and pick up her four children.

The most recent development in the case came Friday night when investigators found Sowders' vehicle abandoned in a parking lot near the creek.

Crews are using sonar equipment to search for clues in water, as well as searching by foot, boat, ATV and helicopter.

So far, nothing has been found.

Anyone with information about her disappearance is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 713-967-5810 or call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
