1 arrested, 2 at large after violent carjacking at Montgomery County gas station

MONTGOMERY, TX

MCSO received a 911 call around 12:15am from a Shell convenience store near the intersection of Decker Hills Drive and Brownsville Road after three males reportedly pulled the victim from his vehicle and assaulted him in the parking lot.

The victim told investigators that his attackers beat him on the head with a screwdriver. They then climbed into the victim's pickup and sped away.

Descriptions given by the victim matched the descriptions of suspects from an earlier disturbance call in the area, officials said.

Deputies spotted and stopped the stolen vehicle on a nearby roadway, but only one of the three suspects -- Luis Corona, 18 -- was inside. He was arrested for aggravated robbery. The two other males were not located, and the investigation is ongoing.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He is expected to be OK.

Anyone with information on this crime can call MCSO or Montgomery County Crime Stoppers.
