Carlos Santana reunited with original band member Marcus Malone. A news reporter in Oakland helped make it possible. He interviewed a homeless man who identified himself as Marcus Malone, a former percussionist for the Santana band.
The reporter contacted the rocker and took him to the camper where Malone had been staying.
"Yeah, that's him, the magnificent Marcus Malone," said Santana. "His spirit is indomitable."
Santana says he wants to offer Malone an apartment, clothes and whatever he needs to restart his life.
