HOUSTON
The parade began at 9am on Thanksgiving morning at Smith and Lamar and ended at 11am on Smith and Dallas.
Many Houstonians braved the cold weather to watch today's parade. More than 15 floats were featured in the parade this year, along with 11 high flying balloons, marching bands and costumed characters.

The Thanksgiving Day parade was originally cancelled by the city this year due to lack of funds, but corporate sponsors came through to make the event happen.
