Bun B, Houston Symphony team up for ADL concert 'Houston in Concert Against Hate'

HOUSTON

The "Houston in Concert Against Hate" on November 14 Jones Hall is being planned by the Anti-Defamation League to commemorate its 100 years of service.

The Symphony will provide backing for Bun B as he performs original lyrics in honor of Houston-area heroes who have stood up against hate, intolerance at extremism, and their stories will be told by Emmy award-winning actress Alfre Woodard.

The event spotlights education and civil rights activists Esther Campos, Michael Feinberg, Dr. Thomas Freeman and Carol Shattuck.

The ADL also will present its Centennial Award to Marvin D. Nathan for his contributions to fighting anti-Semitism and securing justice and fair treatment for all.

Proceeds from the event will enable ADL to continue the wide range of programs and services that address the root causes of hatred and bigotry.
