Man carjacked at gunpoint in his own driveway in Ft. Bend County

HOUSTON

According to a spokesman for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, five masked men approached the car's owner in his driveway in the 7400 block of Lobera Drive around 11:30pm. Authorities say one of the men pulled a gun and demanded the keys. The men then took off in the victim's 2012 Dodge Charger. The man was not hurt.

A Harris County sheriff's deputy later spotted the car on Bellaire Boulevard and tried to pull it over, but the driver took off. The chase lasted about a mile before coming to an end on Dashwood and Jetty in southwest Houston, about about six miles from where the car was reported stolen.

Deputies say that's where the men bailed out of the car and fled. Officers searched the area, but couldn't find them.
