At about 7am, a Chevy Suburban traveling easton Rowe crashed into a ditch at Ballantine, about a mile straight south of Hobby Airport. Two people were in the truck at the time of the wreck. Police say alcohol was a factor in the accident.
The 34-year-old male driver died at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
His female passenger was injured and taken to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Police say there weren't any witnesses to the crash, and they're hoping to talk to the passenger to determine what happened.
