Electrical fire damages house in northeast Houston

Firefighters battled a blaze at a house in northeast Houston overnight.

It happened around 11:45pm on Hirsch Road at Laura Koppe.

Flames were shooting from the back of the one-story, wood-frame house when firefighters arrived.

They made a fast attack and got the fire out quickly.

The house is used and had electricity, officials said. According to authorities, no one was there at the time and a business may be operated out of the building.

Investigators determined the fire was electrical in nature.
