For many of us, it's time to throw out that gift wrapping paper and possibly the Christmas tree. But before you do, remember the City of Houston wants to keep that stuff out of its landfills.
Starting today, all of the city's recycling centers will be accepting used wrapping and Christmas trees but just the real ones.
Workers ask that you remove all decorations before bringing them. The trees will be turned into compost.
You can bring residential Christmas trees to one of the following drop-off locations (see a map):
