The incident happened Thursday afternoon at a residence on Winkler at Lenore. Police are investigating whether the man, who was recently released from jail on a domestic violence charge, may have been fighting with his girlfriend.
The couple's 3-year-old son, and another child they were watching, were in the apartment at the time. Neither child was injured.
The man's injuries are not life-threatening.
