Shaundreka Monique Taylor, 27, is charged with abandoning a child. Prosecutors tell Eyewitness News that Taylor reportedly owed rent, so her landlord stopped by her apartment on Sunday. The landlord discovered two young children under the age of six home alone. Court documents allege the children were "without any food fit for consumption."
The children reportedly told the landlord that they hadn't seen their mother since Saturday evening.
Taylor's bail for the felony charge is set at $2,000.
