HOUSTON --A dangerous decision ended with a woman's death after she tried to cross the road in an unsafe place late Friday night in southwest Harris County. It happened on Highway 6 and Empanada. The woman was struck and killed by a vehicle. "According to witnesses that saw the female, she was in the center turn lane that divided the north and southbound lanes. The female was crossing to the west and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound," said Deputy G. Chelette of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
