Police: Two confess to vandalizing Jesus statue
LA MARQUE, TX
Someone scribbled small markings on the head of a $10,000 Jesus statue at the Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in La Marque over the weekend. La Marque police say a Crime Stoppers tip led them to two people who confessed.
Police say they were remorseful, and authorities have decided to let the church decide if they would like to press charges.
There has been no response so far from the archdiocese.
