Charges have been filed against a robbery suspect in an incident that police say ended with the shooting of another suspect. It happened at a store on Canal Street in east Houston on Saturday. Police say the store owner was returning with a bag of cash when a car pulled up and a man got out and snatched the money. When the thief was running away, the store owner pulled out a gun and fired.

A short time later, a vehicle matching the description of the suspects' vehicle pulled up to the Ben Taub Hospital Emergency Room. The suspect, Elton Guidry, and another man, Corey Taylor, showed up at a hospital where Guidry died. Taylor, 30, was taken into custody on robbery charges.

The 32-year-old business owner was not injured.

Police believe there may have been a third suspect involved who is still on the loose.
