Bond for deputy accused of having cocaine reduced

HOUSTON The attorney for Harris County Deputy Richard Nutt tells us Judge Kevin Fine lowered his client's bond from $200,000 to $20,000. Nutt's attorney had asked for the reduction.

The deputy's attorney released a statement Saturday, saying, "Deputy Nutt does deserve a low bond. He has no criminal history, and is tied to the community. And he has had steady employment for the last thirteen years."

The district attorney's office isn't commenting.
