Two-legged dog gets wheelchair from helpful Houstonian

A local dog in need has gotten a helping hand, or paw you might say, in the form of a wheelchair. The call went out for someone to help little Doxy the Dachsund mix and a generous Houstonian answered that call.

Two and a half year old doxy was born with a congenital defect, and her front legs aren't formed properly. She's actually very impressive. She can hop around on her back legs, but that puts lots of pressure on her joints, and she gets scratched up on the ground when she gets too tired to stand upright. To walk properly and comfortably, Doxy needed a wheelchair.

That's not the end of Doxy's challenge. Her owners moved overseas, and couldn't take her. So, now that doxy has a wheelchair, she needs a home.
