Galveston ISD changing school plans

Galveston ISD is changing its plans when it comes to realigning its schools for next year. That means the Kipp School won't move into the soon-to-be renovated Central High School. Board trustees decided Wednesday night to have 5th through 8th graders at Central. The school was damaged during Hurricane Ike. The Kipp move would have made Central a place for students PreK to 8th grade. But many parents opposed that idea.
