Bus driver charged for killing student passenger

HOUSTON Nellie Cormier, 65, faces a charge of negligent homicide and posted a $30,000 bond.

On April 29, a McArthur High School student freshman got off the Aldine ISD school bus Cormier was driving, then crossed the street in front of the vehicle. The bus hit the girl and dragged her for a few feet, then she went under the bus. Alma Meza, 15, died at the scene.

The following week, Cormier's toxicology results came back negative.
