Choking robber appears in court

Pius Kissinger Knott is walked into court Friday morning. A judge refused to grant him bond.

A man accused of choking his victims until they lost consciousness so he could rob them appeared in court Friday morning. Pius Kissinger Knott, 35, is charged with one count of aggravated assault, but police believe he is behind 17 other attacks as well. Investigators say a victim and an eyewitness identified Knott in a photo lineup.

A judge refused to grant bond when Knott appeared in court Friday morning. He is not a US citizen.
