Students, staff may be tested for TB

HOUSTON School officials recently became aware of a person at the high school suspected of having active tuberculosis disease. Officials did not reveal whether the patient was a student or staff member.

Letters have been sent to parents, informing them of the situation. Those identified as having come into contact with the infected person will be given health tests during the week of November 30.

The health department will hold a meeting Thursday to address concerns from parents. It starts at 6pm in the school's library.
