Some Midland County sheriff's deputies in the Austin area for training are being investigated over a waitress allegedly posing with a firearm by their patrol cars. Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter confirms the matter is under investigation.

A spokesman for Round Rock police did not immediately return a call Thursday from The Associated Press.

Police late Monday received a 911 call about a suspicious incident outside a Twin Peaks restaurant, which advertises as a place with a "fun, friendly and sometimes flirty atmosphere!"

KWES-TV reported the caller said "something strange" was going on.

A police report obtained by KXAN-TV indicates a waitress was in the parking lot with five deputies and she was holding one of their rifles. The deputies allegedly were photographing the woman displaying the weapon.
