School goes on lockdown after explosion

An explosion on campus caused a big scare at Atascocita High School Friday.According to Humble ISD officials, two 10th grade students detonated a homemade device, which consisted of a bottle and muriatic acid, in a trash can outside the building shortly before noon. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the blast.

Surveillance video captured the two students detonating the device and they were quickly taken into custody.

Atascocita High School was locked down while the campus was checked. That lockdown lasted around an hour and a half. Atascocita high school sent a letter home to parents, detailing Friday's blast.
