Sheriff's deputies say the man was speeding on Beechnut when he slammed into the back of a red pickup in southwest Harris County overnight. The pickup flipped over, killing the boy inside instantly. Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The boy's father, who was driving, suffered minor injuries. The suspected drunk driver is in custody.
