Deputies believe inmate lost weight to escape

WALLER COUNTY, TX Investigators believe Norris intentionally lost 30 pounds over the past three months so he could fit between the one foot wide air vent in his cell.

When Norris was arrested he weighed 160 pounds. Waller County Sheriff Randy Smith estimates Norris lost nearly 30 pounds to fit through that vent. Although Norris shared a cell with approximately five other inmates, he was the only one who escaped.

Norris is described as a white male with reddish blonde hair, hazel eyes and is six feet tall. He has tattoos on his chest, arms and legs.

Norris is wanted for the murder of a convenience store owner in April.

Waller County Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for his capture. Please call 979-826-8266 if you can help.
