The search is on for a Dickinson high school student accused of stabbing a classmate Wednesday just as school was over for the day. That 15-year-old boy who was stabbed was released from a Galveston hospital Thursday. He underwent surgery Wednesday night to remove a five inch blade from his shoulder.

Now Dickinson police, with permission of a judge, are taking the unusual step of releasing the juvenile suspects name and picture. Investigators want to speak with Osmand Miftari.

"Somebody who will basically ambush another kid on the school ground is somebody we don't want walking around," said Craig Fos with the Dickinson Police Department. "We do need to get him apprehended as soon as we can."

Anyone with information on Miftari's whereabouts is asked to call the Dickinson Police Department.
