Lifeflight was called to the scene. All freeway lanes and the feeder road was shut down during the rescue operation, causing a major traffic backup.
Driver trapped beneath big rig
HOUSTON The wreck happened just after 11am on the southbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway near Rankin. The driver became trapped. He was conscious and talking with paramedics, but it's believed his arm was pinned beneath the truck. Crews were working to free him.
