HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston ISD police have an increased presence on the Worthing High School campus after a fight broke out this morning.
According to district officials, the fight broke out this morning and now the district Police Department is investigating. Witnesses say a civilian brandished a weapon to break up the fight between students.
Parents have been showing up at the school trying to get their children out of class and checking on their safety.
Many false reports have been made on social media sites.
Several parents are waiting in the school front office to talk to administrators. Many are very angry and upset after a fight broke out yesterday on campus.
Witnesses tell Eyewitness News that this stems from a fight yesterday and is possibly gang-related.
Several parents say they want to find an alternative school for their children because fights like this have been happening too frequently at the campus.
